One economical solution might be to just buy a new milling head from us. As a special service, we provide the same milling machine head as on our S-series mills to customers looking to save on repair costs. Do the math. Sometimes replacing the whole thing can save you both time and money. Best of all, it's guaranteed to work. You don't have to deal with the uncertainty of repairs.
Our milling machine head can be directly bolted on to milling machines that use Bridgeport's J-head and most other import milling machines. We can provide the instructions on how to install the new head. A crane or forklift is highly recommended as these heads are not light. Other than that, the job can be done in less than half an hour with a couple of regular handtools.
