Heavy Duty Headstock
The headstock’s unique construction benefits from high strength cast iron and takes advantage of forced lubrication for all running parts. Lubrication pathways and the integrated oil reservoir help cool the spindle and maintain machine precision and durability even at high speed rotation for long periods of time. Headstock gears are made of chromium molybdenum steel (SCM-21), carburized and precision ground for smooth engagement and quiet operation.
Cross slide
Cross slide ways are hardened and precision ground to extend working life over 300%. Crossfeed screw is lubricated to reduce wear.
One-piece Meehanite casting base
One-piece casting base greatly increases rigidity. Machine bed is made of MEEHANITE casting that has been induction hardened and precision ground. Main motor and coolant pump are designed to be installed within the base to save space and protect them from elements.
High Precision Spindle
The spindle has 3-point support that uses sets of high precision double-row roller and taper roller bearings. A forced lubrication system ensures even lubrication regardless of spindle speed.
The gears for the spindle are made of chromium molybdenum steel that has been hardened and precision ground.
